Poliset POLISET cold setting polyurethane binders deliver higher productivity combined with precise dimensional accuracy. They are suitable for moulds and cores in both ferrous and non ferrous applications.

POLISET Binders

Traditionally, polyurethane resins were based on aromatic solvents, which gave high fume levels on mixing and acrid smoke release during the casting process. Recent developments have seen the introduction of very low odour systems which have opened new markets for this process. Excellent sand flowability , high strengths and a rapid through curing mechanism are a feature of all the polyurethane POLISET binders

POLISET Application

POLISET is suitable for iron and non ferrous castings. For steel castings it is recommended to use iron oxide in the sand and coatings. Additions rates vary from 1.0 - 1.5% total resin with a ratio of 50:50 to 55:45. The POLISET catalyst is 8 - 15% based on POLISET CS1000 weight. If outside this range, change the grade of POLISET catalyst..
