Foseco was a relatively late entrant into the binder market with the development and commercialisation of a CO2 set silicate binder process in 1953. Although silicate technology was well known the variability of the process made it unsuitable for foundry use. |

By bringing the process under control, foundries were able to produce moulds and cores without the application of heat required for traditional methods.
With the acquisition of Ciba-Geigy foundry resins in 1982, Foseco became a mainstream supplier of resin binders and today offers a comprehensive range of binders, catalysts and ancillary products for the production of moulds and cores. |
